Whole Foods and Healthy Eating ‘Heals’ – Unhealthy Ingredients ‘Feed the Disease’

Whole foods and healthy eating has been my style for 20 years. Reading some news recently I was reminded of some of the unhealthiest ingredients in foods.

High Fructose Corn Syrup
Aspartame and artificial sweeteners
BHA and BHT
Food Coloring
Growth Agents – rBGH and Ractopamine
Nitrates and Nitrites
Potassium Bromate
Sulfites
White Flour

I’ll add:

MSG
Genetically altered foods

Recently I watched a documentary on curing cancer using Gerson Therapy. (A proven natural way to cure cancer and disease. Google it) It was like a revival and brought this to my mind.

The FDA will allow labels to say “no added MSG” as long as the MSG has been processed into the food instead of poured into it.

Most of us know about aspartame and MSG. But what are all those other chemicals? Our mainstream diet contains all this stuff. Some of these ingredients/chemicals are banned in other countries and many are known carcinogens, known to cause cancer.

Do you realize we’re talking about all highly processed foods? Where have all the whole foods gone? They’ve had all the natural nutrients removed and been enriched with pharmaceutical grade vitamins and other questionable (nice word) enhancers and preservatives.

Cancer’s on the increase and the medical profession never seems to find a cure. I mean a real cure! Where does all the research money go?

The FDA and our government really know what’s going on, yet they still allow toxic chemicals to be added to our foods. Did you ever wonder why? OK, I’ll save politics and big money for another time. Right now I’m talking about our health, yours and mine.

So what does one do?

Unfortunately for most people the answer is not an easy one to accept. Some people do become health conscious as I did when I started the macrobiotic diet for cancer. It takes a strong desire to stop what we are accustomed to eating. Plus we need the knowledge to know what we should be eating in order to gain and maintain maximum health.

When I began the whole foods macrobiotic lifestyle, my cancer had already started. It progressed to a stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma skin cancer. It had spread internal, yet remained local, and was growing inside my mouth.

I continued the whole foods healthy diet attempting to slow it down and hopefully cure it. I ended up panicking and consented to all the conventional medical treatments being chemotherapy, major surgery and radiation.

It took all three to kill all of the cancer and I was blessed that it didn’t kill me.

Ohh,… if I only had begun a healthy lifestyle years before to prevent this from ever happening.

Truthfully I started a whole foods lifestyle when I was much younger, but drifted off as life happened.

I did take vitamins and other supplements and I worked out a lot at the gym. I figured that would keep me in pretty good shape.

I got that wrong!

I was feeding a disease by still shoveling in toxins!

First eliminate the unhealthy ingredients and replace them with nutritious whole foods and do some exercise regularly.

If you have a particular disease, see an alternative professional. Let them draw blood or do a urine test to find nutritional deficiencies. You may well be able to control your problem with whole foods and proper supplementation.

Take in some sunshine and clean fresh air.

It’s good to sing and laugh every day and everyone needs to have an open relationship with The Creator.

Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” That should be the essence of everyone’s approach to health.

Hippocrates also said, “Make a habit of two things: to help; or at least to do no harm.”

I seriously followed a macrobiotic diet for cancer for 8 years. I now take other whole food approaches. I maintain the best health that I can, still yet I live with long lasting side effects of conventional treatments. I would not have survived 20 years if it were not for my healthy wholefoods lifestyle.
